Who We Are

We are the Primary Purpose Group of Akron, Ohio

  • Our home group is dedicated to the study of The Big Book and The Twelve Steps & Twelve Traditions of Alcoholics Anonymous
  • Our home group has but one primary purpose - to carry it's message to the alcoholic who still suffers
  • We follow a formatted guide to remain focused on our study

Service

We host a number of service events which impact our community

  • We host an annual Welcome Home event every year on Thursday before Founders' Day (June 5, 2025)
  • We host an annual Christmas party during the holiday season
  • We organize an annual Poker Run during the summer
  • We hold workshops throughout the year (Listen to the 2025 workshop on YouTube)
  • We play an active part in various AA events
